Edit: This one made the 1st place in the composition contest of #I-Like-it-Raw I'm totally happy about this!

It was taken during a week's trip through Rome, Italy, and the surrounding countryside. It's from my visit to Pompei. Although it was totally destroyed by the eruption of the vesuv it is a fantastic place to visit nowadays! Nevertheless the tradegy people had to undergo is visible in every corner of this place. Here for example you can see one of the main roads of Pompei. While the vulcano erupted, it had to fulfill a new deadly task. People used them for their desperate flight. Only few were able to survive. The rest was buried by the ashes to become to one of the crooked creatures we know from so many pictures.
